Physicochemical testing of dietary supplements provides the necessary information on the product’s composition, the presence of micro and macroelements, vitamins, impurities (e.g. the level of heavy metals, pesticide residues, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons or dioxins) and additional substances. Thanks to testing, you can check whether the product meets the legal requirements of a market, regarding the content of impurities and/or the limits for active substances.
We offer physicochemical analysis for dietary supplements, herbs and vegetal raw materials. The tests we perform include:
- pyrrolizidine and tropane alkaloids
- protein
- dry weight
- humidity
- fat
- capsule/filling weight
- acid number and fat number
- net weight
- sugars
- dietary fibre
- nutritional value.
Using modern equipment and instrumental methods, we determine:
- vitamins B content, including folic acid
- vitamins A, E, D3, K content
- vitamin C content
- content of mineral ingredients: chromium (Cr), zinc (Zn), tin (Sn), phosphorus (P), cobalt (Co), magnesium (Mg), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo), potassium (K), selenium (Se), sodium (Na), calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), silicon
- fatty acid profile, including Omega 3, DHA, APA
- aminoacids
- polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
- heavy metals: cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), arsenic (As)
- pesticide content
- mycotoxins: aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2, M1, ochratoxin A, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone.
