In accordance with Article 113(3) of the Geological and Mining Law, J.S. Hamilton Poland – Certification Body with its registered office in Siemianowice Śląskie fulfils the requirements for testing and evaluation of products, for which the President of the State Mining Authority issues decisions on their admissibility for use in mining plants, i.e. has PCA accreditation in this scope.
The operations of J.S. Hamilton Poland – Certification Body with its registered office in Siemianowice Śląskie are conducted in accordance with the requirements of PCA “Programme of accreditation of certification bodies issuing opinions on products allowed for use in mining plants” (DAC-21).
The process of issuing opinions on products requiring approval by the President of the WUG is based on the technical requirements contained in Appendix 2 to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 30 April 2004 on the approval of products for use in mining plants. The list of products, the use of which in mining plants requires, due to the need to ensure safety of their use in conditions of danger occurring in mining plants, the issuance of an approval is contained in appendix no. 1 to the aforementioned regulation.

- Elements of mining shaft hoists:
- – hoisting machinery,
- – hoisting vessels
- – rope sheaves,
- – compensating, guiding and buffer rope suspensions,
- – support suspensions for hoisting vessels,
- – free-wheeling winches,
- – shaft signalling and communication equipment,
- – isolated assemblies of the components listed under paras. 1.1 – 1.7.
- Wellheads together with control systems, excluding subsea heads, used in mines extracting minerals through boreholes.
- Products used in underground mine workings:
- – ropeways, overhead railways, ski-lifts and their components,
- – passenger-carrying and special-purpose vehicles and combustion-powered passenger-carrying vehicles,
- – electrical machinery and equipment and switchgear for a voltage of more than 1 kv AC or more than 1,5 kv DC,
